I get things wrong allll the time. Sometimes my arguments get into a spat with the data, sometimes my math goes on strike, and sometimes I just go off the rails, dear reader. Yet, instead of hiding those mistakes, they live here—words you've never seen before, arguments coming out of nowhere, wild guesses passed off as casual indifference—I am putting it here so you can see it all yourself; that's the whole point of The Archive.

A very wise, ancient friend once told me, “even wrong ideas help; they get the job done,” and, “for every step forward, it leads to the next, but if no step is possible, then failings what’s left,” and also, “ideas are not perfect, they don’t have to be.” The idea that we always have to be right, and that if we get something wrong, our work becomes useless, is simply nonsensical. The value of a framework lies not in what it gets right, but in where it gets us.
